The name “Freda” has a personal connection to one of our co-founders, Rebecca. Her grandmother Freda Podesta was born in Hobart in 1916. One of her first jobs was just across the road from our first studio at the iconic IXL jam factory in Hobart. Freda Podesta lived her life to the fullest… she loved traveling, was all about having fun and didn’t mind a little “sipping”.

Our name pays homage to Frida and to the inner artist in you that our sip n’ paint will unleash! You’ll be inspired by the painted monobrowed portraits on our walls and our talented artists guiding you through the sessions.

The blending of two Frida’s – The artist and the lover of all things fun – sums up exactly what our studio stands for…….. Fun art!
